Amygdala

I had imagined that I had made wonderful peace with my condition. It turns out some of that peace, as well as my lowered ability to make decisions and lack action may be because my amygdala is one of the areas of my brain most aggressively attacked by my condition thus far.

The amygdala is a small structure lying in the medial temporal lobe which is important for the emotional content of new memories, may play a critical role in decision making and helps regulate the bodies thermal dynamics.

This USA Today article caught my eye, as I had been researching the amygdala for a few weeks.
