My Political Beliefs

I believe in a very strong foreign policy, the center point of which should be always keeping our word, whether it is a promise or a threat.

I believe we should never spend more than we take in (I think that Nixon taking us off the gold standard was the second most destructive act to the future of this country, but that it was made necessary by Lyndon Johnson's passage of the fiscally unsustainable expansion of the Social Security Act.)

I think Government should work from the community up, not the Federal Government down. In other words, I believe the people should be self-reliant first, reach out to the community second, and not expect the Federal Government to be there to make sure they survive. Or in other words, I believe in the Tenth Amendment.

I believe that taxes on business are merely more costly taxes on people.

I think a Sales Tax based replacement for the Income Tax would be the single best possible change for this country.

I believe privacy is gone, due to technology, whether we like it or not. It's just a fact, deal with it.

I'm sure there is a lot more, I'll add them as they occur to me.
