I moved in here after leaving LK Mansion. I was having a rough time finding exactly what I wanted and ended up asking Pete's friend Rick, the local ex-pat baker. He set me up right and good at Diana-Oasis inside Diana Estates. A place I never would have assumed had such a reasonable price and everything I wanted. Staying by the month, I've already reupped once and am planning on staying at least one more month when the month runs out on May 14th.

This picture is from Pattaya Photo Guide (you can travel and look around most of the streets in Pattaya. Warning: if your web browser is Firefox make sure you have Flash Player 9 installed otherwise you will be just staring at a black square waiting for it to do something. And if you have a slow connection it will take a long time to load.) At the top is the entrance to the Diana Estates complex. Below I have yellowed over the aerial view (very center of picture). It is made from five separate buildings each with their own way of doing things. The red area is the Diana-Oasis building I have an apartment in and where all these pictures below are about. |

![]() The View from the apartment window. This coconut tree fell down two nights after this picture was taken. It is a much more open courtyard view now. |
![]() The same view showing a bit more of the building behind it. The swimming pool is 100 feet or so to the right side of this picture. |
![]() The courtyard toward my second floor window. |
![]() Ooy at breakfast. |
![]() Ya - one of the wait staff. Speaks almost no English. You can't tell from this picture but extraordinarily pretty, though much much too thin for my tastes. I can't stop staring just the same. |
![]() Bee, the man on the right. Speaks the best English of the lot and is always in a sparkling mood. Lynchpin of the operation in my book. Mew, another nice soul here at the restaurant. Was using the swimming pool for a couple of weeks at sundown (same as me) and spend lots of time conversing with Ooy. None of which I understood, of course. |
![]() This is our wonderful swimming pool. If I were to swing around 180ºs you would be facing the breakfast nook. |
The breakfast nook, the Diana-Oasis Restaurant. |
![]() Mai and the couch, diagonal from the bed in the main room. |
![]() The same view without Mai. As you can see I have no gotten any neater with time. |
![]() Across from the couch. Dresser, TV cubby and closet in one. Bed to the right. |
![]() The same all-in-one from the front. The DVD player comes with the room. |
![]() A view of the "European style" kitchen from main living area. Bathroom is to the right (unseen) off the kitchen, which has microwave, rice cooker and toaster. |
![]() The bed, usually made (by Mai - you know I don't believe in made beds) by now. To the left on the ledge in the background is the plate from Sanctuary of Truth. |
![]() The final corner of the main room, which has become the computer area. The fan is now required to keep the laptop from shutting down even if the air conditioning is on. |
